Therefore, doctors, such as Dr. Plano have to the rescue of men who loss hair as they advance in age. The video describes a hair restoration method called Follicular Unit Extraction that is used to restore hair in areas that experience hair loss. As we see the man in the video, he is concerned about losing hair since he turned 40, and he decided to visit Dr. Plano’s Renaissance Center for Hair Restoration to seek further advice of how to restore his hair, especially along the hair line.
In the video Dr. Plan describes that the best way to cover the area that has lost hair is to draw a line around the area. In the case of the male client in the video, he lost hair along the hair line. Therefore, a zigzag line was drawn along his hair line to mark the area that needs the transplant. The second step that follows after identifying the area that is experiencing hair loss is to find the right donor that provides the correct hair type, good quality hair, proper color, and the right size of the area that requires hair transplant. The next step after identifying the right donor, which in this case was at the back of the scalp, the surgeon now gets into business and initiate the process of hair restoration by picking enough number of hair depending on the type of hair a person needs.
The hair restoration procedure takes place in the surgeon’s office as we see the man in the video receiving the procedure from Dr. Plano’s center of hair restoration. The surgeon then goes on to removes at least 6 to 10 inch of strip of the skin from the back of the client’s head. The strips are set aside. Then the strips are divided into small grafts each carrying an individual hair or a few hairs. Remember, the grafts are divided according to the number of the hair the patient needs.
